Market share of 20% from the Energy, Financial, commercial and Public sectors. Major customers included the Oil and Gas companies in Aberdeen and London. Significant growth was achieved through supplying outsourced services.

SEMA GROUP 1981 to 1993

Sema Software Technology was the company within the £1Bn SEMA GROUP responsible for marketing software products. The product, which was the mainstream development of the company, was a software management system called LIFESPAN providing a tool to implement the discipline of configuration control to improve the quality and productivity of software developers. This system was sold to many major companies in the defence, communications, financial and energy sectors including GEC, BRITISH AEROSPACE and SIEMENS.
